Amador Ledger Dispatch review of Tom, Dick and Harry

Volcano Theatre Company kicked off its summer amphitheatre shows with a bang last weekend with the opening of the uproarious comedy “Tom, Dick and Harry.” The farce, by Ray Cooney and Michael Cooney, takes place in London, England, on the day that Tom and Linda Kerwood are meant to meet with an adoption agency representative to adopt a baby. It seems as if nothing can go wrong, until Tom’s trouble-making brothers, Dick and Harry, arrive and chaos ensues.

Ray and Michael Cooney's farcical comedy. Tom and his wife are about to adopt a baby. His brothers are anxious to help make a good impression on the woman from the agency who has arrived to check on the home and lifestyle of the prospective parents. Unfortunately Dick, who has stashed boxes of smuggled brandy and cigarettes in the house, and Harry, who is in possession of a cadaver he is planning to sell illegally to a medical school, fail miserably. The adoption agency representative is aghast - and the stow-away immigrants who do not speak English are no help at all.
